The University of Bordeaux is a great dynamic and responsible university that cares about the well-being of its staff. Joining us means working in a privileged environment within a particularly diverse and open professional community, benefiting from welcome and inclusion schemes, training and internal mobility. It means participating in an academic, scientific and human adventure. It means committing to meeting the challenges of the 21st century.
Join the Material to System Integration (IMS) – lab at the University of Bordeaux!
The latter was born in 2007 from the merger of three Bordeaux research units. It focuses its research activity on the field of Systems Science and Engineering, at the convergence of Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies (ICST), and Sciences for Engineers (SPI). It is structured into 10 research groups, each with their own expertise and team.
As part of the project funded by the National Research Agency DE-TECT and the Region Nouvelle Aquitaine project OVERPRINT, we are recruiting a Post-Doctoral Researcher W/M whose work will focus on manufacturing, characterization and modelling of organic photodetectors elaborated from biomass materials.
The DE-TECT project proposes to revisit the materials and architecture of photodetectors in order to meet societal expectations in terms of the use of abundant and available materials, energy consumption and the production of waste from end-of-life electronic devices.
The objectives of OVERPRINT are focused on the drastic reduction of electronic waste. We focus our efforts on photovoltaics and photodetectors. Our approach is based on the use of biomaterials for the construction of devices.
Your main mission will be to design, manufacture and characterize organic photodetectors with the technological means of IMS with the ELORGA team, specialized in organic semiconductors.
• You manufacture organic photodetectors
• You carry out the physico-chemical and opto-electronic characterizations of the devices
• You perform the opto-electronic modeling of photodetectors
• You contribute to the dissemination of results through publications in international newspapers
Holder of a PhD in organic electronics, you have an initial training in physics and/or materials science as well as a strong interest in the physics and modeling of components.
• You are autonomous and organized in your activities
• You demonstrate excellent writing skills and a sense of communication
• You have proven experience in simulation and modeling
• You know how to work in a team
• You speak, read and write technical English (level C1/B2) in a multicultural work context
Do you recognize yourself? Apply!
