  • Identify and list the jobs offered by a career in Neurosciences
  • Target an international resume for a specific job
  • Present themselves for international job interviews
  • Look for and apply for an international PhD position
  • Look for and apply for an international job in the industry
  • Look for and apply for other jobs related to Neurosciences
  • Find and get appropriate complementary training/education at the international level

  • Know the basis of modern statistics and modelling applied to biology
  • Know the fundamental rules of health and security at work in the lab
  • Know the basis of animal care, occupational health, good research practices and euthanasia
  • Know categories of invasiveness and the principles of anaesthesia, analgesia, and surgery
  • Design experimental protocols
  • Process and analyse data using appropriate tools including specialised software
  • Understand the main ideas of complex text written in English
  • Interact regularly with native English speakers without strain for either party
  • Apply the rules of health and security at work in the lab
  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling, restraining, sampling, sexing and realizing injections, anaesthesia, analgesia, euthanasia, and necropsy of lab animals (mice and rats)
  • Work independently on specific research tasks
  • Work in a transversal, multidisciplinary way and participate in team effort in an international environment
  • Communicate effectively in English and native language on the procedures followed and the results yielded by experiments with the matching interpretation to diverse audiences using a range of media (from research papers to public communications)
  • Examine their own practice at all levels in a critical manner and modify accordingly, including find appropriate information and counselling to do so.
  • List ethical issues and regulations linked to animal and human experimentation
  • Make an effective literature search

  • Have in-depth knowledge of at least one specialized Neurosciences field
  • Apply the basic technical approaches of Neurosciences 4.1 Neuroanatomy 4.2 Neurophysiology 4.3 Cellular & molecular neurosciences 4.4 Neuropharmacology 4.5 Behavioural approaches
  • Formulate appropriate questions and propose effective investigations to complex Neurosciences issues: 5.1. Identify and critically asses theoretical and practical approaches to develop appropriate strategies of investigation 5.2 Critically review specialized bibliography 5.3 Monitor and evaluate results
  • Study and work out a concrete, practical Neurosciences problem independently.
  • Examine their own practice in a critical manner and modify accordingly, including reflecting on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of brain research
