Objectifs et compétences

Objectifs :
To know

• The types of efector/motor responses

• The basic principles of the nervous system outcomes

• The main neural pathways discharging the neural responses

• The main transmitters operating in response performance

• The rationale of motor working.

• The main types of motor dysfunction

To understand

• How information is being processed in each system along the descending pathways

• How feed back system may operate to gain accuracy in motor function

• How different modalities of motor information converge in the common motor pathway

• How connections are behind motor neural processing

• How interfering neural processing in a particular nucleus or structure may undergo behavioral changes

• How a lesion may undergo in a variety of symptoms

Compétences :
  • Process and analyse data using appropriate tools including specialised software
  • Produce clear, detailed texts in English on a wide range of subjects and explain precisely a viewpoint on a topical issue
  • Work in a transversal, multidisciplinary way and participate in team effort in an international environment
  • Communicate effectively in English and native language on the procedures followed and the results yielded by experiments with the matching interpretation to diverse audiences using a range of media (from research papers to public communications)
  • Make an effective literature search

  • Have in-depth knowledge of at least one specialized Neurosciences field
  • Apply the basic technical approaches of Neurosciences 4.1 Neuroanatomy 4.2 Neurophysiology 4.3 Cellular & molecular neurosciences 4.4 Neuropharmacology 4.5 Behavioural approaches
