For many years, with support from the France 2030 programme, the University of Bordeaux has prioritised innovation as its third mission, after training and research. The University is looking to step up its public-private partnerships, to work with research laboratories and help them come up with innovative ideas, and to promote entrepreneurship. The University of Bordeaux and its partners help to strengthen the region’s focus on innovation and entrepreneurship, including in ways that promote smooth social and environmental transitions.

    At the University of Bordeaux, promoting innovation translates to effectively using the results of research into excellence obtained in its laboratories and on its platforms. The goal of the approach is to speed up social and technological progress while supporting the environmental transition.

    The University of Bordeaux cultivates the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among its lecturer-researchers, researchers, students and administrative staff, which creates room for progress in technology, medicine and society.
