By forging closer relationships with players beyond the world of academia, the University of Bordeaux has the means to better understand the challenges involved and to speed up the transfer of knowledge about new products, new uses and new policies.

  • Ways of working together

    The partnership between a laboratory of the University of Bordeaux and a socio-economic player can take various forms. For any partnership, a framework is agreed and introduced. An agreement sets the rules and reflects the will of the parties, their contributions, and the expected results.

  • LabCom

    Joint laboratories, called LabCom, embody one of the most structured forms of collaboration between public research institutions and their economic partners. Such partnerships are the result of relationships built on trust and over time.

  • R&D funding

    To fund research and development projects, companies can apply for various aid – regional, national or from the European Union.

  • Expertise

    From startups to big corporations, any institution can call on the recognised expertise of professionals working for the University.
