In response to the digital transformation of the healthcare sector, the CAP Digital Health project, led by the University of Bordeaux, supports students and professionals in developing essential skills in digital health. Project review with its leader, Rodolphe Thiébaut.
Laureate of the "skills and professions of the future" call for proposals launched as part of the France 2030 national investment plan, the CAP Digital Health (in French) project offers innovative training to students and professionals in healthcare or scientific curricula, covering a wide range of skills, from acculturation to digital health to advanced specialisations. The project leader, Rodolphe Thiébaut, explains the ins and outs.
"CAP Digital Health has a dual objective: to acculturate digital professionals to healthcare and, conversely, to support healthcare professionals in the adoption of digital tools. The project is in line with national priorities, particularly those of the “Innovation Santé 2030” plan, by providing concrete solutions that anticipate developments in the sector."
"The training courses are aimed at a diverse audience: mathematicians, statisticians, public health professionals, but also the industrial sector. We design our courses in line with national standards and in consultation with academic and economic partners to meet the needs of the sector."
"The project incorporates immersive technologies and innovative tools. We use adaptive learning algorithms to customise study programmes according to the learners' needs. The use of “serious games” also makes learning more engaging and interactive."
"CAP Digital Health relies on a network of key players, including Inserm, Inria, Bordeaux University Hospital, as well as industrial clusters such as ALLIS-NA, the ENTER competitiveness cluster and AFNOR. This collaboration enables us to develop relevant training courses that are in line with the realities on the ground."
"The initial feedback is very encouraging, from both learners and partners. What's next? An acculturation seminar for healthcare personnel and the integration of a new "data architect" course into an existing Master programme. The aim is to intensify our action to meet the growing challenges of digital technology in healthcare."
