CAP Santé numérique: offering acculturation and cutting-edge training to tomorrow’s professionals

The CAP Santé numérique project is a laureate project in the “Compétences et Métiers d’Avenir” call for expressions of interest (AMI CMA) launched under the national France 2030 plan. The CAP Santé numérique project offers innovative training to students and health-sector professionals, as well as those from scientific backgrounds. It covers a broad spectrum of competencies - from digital health sensitisation to advanced specialisations.

The project aims to introduce multiple innovative training schemes in digital health. These programmes target:

  1. Students and professionals in medical and paramedical fields, and
  2. Students and professionals with scientific backgrounds.

New and existing training modules, both initial and continuing, will address the full range of sector needs: foundational digital health literacy (cybersecurity, telemedicine, health data, AI) through to advanced specialisation (simulation, data science).

These programmes open up new career paths and retraining options for learners.

The objectives of CAP Santé Numérique align with the goals and demands of the “Innovation Santé 2030” plan and its national acceleration strategy “Santé Numérique”. They respond to local and socio-economic stakeholders’ needs while continuing and complementing existing initiatives.

Target audience

The CAP Santé Numérique training offer is designed for:

  • Medical and paramedical students completing state diplomas,
  • Scientific students in Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate programmes,
  • Professionals seeking either sensitisation or specialisation in digital health.

Objectives

CAP Santé Numérique addresses two targeted actions from the AMI CMA projects:

  1. Expand initial and continuing professional training in digital health for medical and paramedical professionals.                  This involves building and implementing learning modules to enhance general or specific competencies to meet the sector’s digital demands (generic skills in digital health as well as specific training in AI & health, simulation).
  2. Increase the proportion of digital specialists who have a health culture.                                                                          This includes raising awareness through modules, creating a university diploma in data science in English and French, and evolving an existing Master degree to train learners for a new profession: “Health Data Architect”.
