Pharmaceutical Science Faculty

Training future pharmacists, drug and health professionals is the main mission of the Pharmaceutical Science Faculty. It cultivates a very strong international outlook, as illustrated by the large number of students enrolled in mobility programmes.

The French state-certified Doctor of Pharmacy diploma gives students access to a wide range of professional paths and to express their skills in all branches of the pharmaceutical profession. There are strong ties between fellow pharmacists, particularly via the Espace Officinal Aquitain and continuing education.

The Pharmaceutical Science Faculty is in charge of the Master degree specialisation "Health products and medication". The eight Master 2 tracks offered within that specialisation provide students with a dual expertise, leading to a high rate of employability.

The training programmes offered also include several university diplomas (DU), the DEUST "Health roduct controls and technology" and vocational Bachelor degrees in "Medical promotion and information", "Quality in health industries" and "Quality in medical analysis laboratories". Some of the programmes are open to apprenticeships.

The Faculty associates applied research, an important source of development, and fundamental research, which is crucial for innovation. The mutual purpose is centred on medication, health products and public health - federating themes that ensure the transfer of skills to industry and participation in the university's main research institutes.
