Graziella Goglio is a chemical engineer who graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie in Toulouse and holds an Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA) in materials science from Toulouse III - Paul-Sabatier University. She began her PhD in solid state chemistry at the Jean Rouxel Institute of Materials at the University of Nantes. In 1998, she joined the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium for a post-doctorate in solid state physics.
In 1999, she was recruited as a lecturer at University Bordeaux I, and was appointed a university professor in 2015.

In terms of research at the Bordeaux Institute of Condensed Matter Chemistry, since 2014 Graziella Goglio has been developing a low-temperature sintering process, inspired by geological densification processes, which is part of a sustainable development approach. Consequently, the development of high-performance materials and new multi-materials using this eco-responsible process is being explored via major conceptual breakthroughs, offering innovative solutions to current issues and challenges in materials science.

In terms of teaching, she has endeavoured to deploy strategies for academic innovation and career guidance so students can play an active role in their education. In this context, since 2020 she has been coordinating the 'personalised curricula and pace' component of the New Deal programme. Graziella Goglio has also been deputy director of the College of Science and Technology since 2014. In that capacity, over the past two years, she has been particularly involved in managing the project for a single portal in science and technology, relying on a highly-active community.

She is also very aware of the problems of career development for research professors (i.e. serving a term on the French National Council of Universities - CNU, participating in several selection committees for professorships on enhanced support) and administrative and technical staff (member of pre-CPE, committee for the review of applications for promotion). Particularly committed to the quality of life in the workplace, she is a member of the working group on the use of professional digital technology and the right to disconnect.

In February 2022, Graziella Goglio was appointed Vice-President ifor human resources by President Dean Lewis.

We want to pursue a proactive policy of career development, maintain rich labour relations at the heart of the decision-making process, and make HR actions and systems visible and accessible while promoting well-being at work.
